Appointments
The Triangle Group Surgery operates an appointment system. Appointments with a doctor or nurse must be made beforehand. Walk-in appointments are available only for children during the evening surgery every day from 3 - 5:50pm.

Cancelling your Appointment
If you are unable to attend an appointment with one of the doctors or nurses, please telephone or use the link at the bottom of this page to cancel your appointment.

Results over the phone
Results of smears, swabs, x-rays and blood tests are available by phone between 3:00pm – 6:00pm, for the patient only. Please note that results normally take one week to be notified to the Practice. It is the patient’s responsibility to follow-up on their test results

Family Planning Clinic

  •  Anytime By appointment (Nurse)

pregnantThese clinics allow you to discuss various forms of contraception and fertility advice. It is also an opportunity to discuss issues surrounding sexually transmitted diseases. Pill checks and free condoms are provided by the nurse.

Family planning advice is also available during any normal doctor & nurse sessions. Coils (IUD implants) and implants are done at this surgery by the appointed doctor. Addresses of other local Family Planning/Sexual Health Clinics that provide these services are available.


Antenatal Clinics

  • Thursday: 9:30 – 11:45am By appointment (Midwife only) (For first appointments)
  • Wednesday: 9:30 – 1:00pm By appointment (Midwife only)

This clinic helps to ensure that your pregnancy is progressing normally and problems are treated as they arise. It is also an opportunity to discuss any issues in your forthcoming pregnancy and to promote good health to ensure a healthy mother and baby. The choices of delivery options are discussed and arrangements made accordingly.

If you suspect you are pregnant, do a home pregnancy test first. Once the pregnancy is confirmed, you will need to book an appointment to see the doctor in order to be referred to the midwife. The first scan is offered at 10-12 weeks, so it is highly recommended that you are seen before you are 10 weeks pregnant.


Well Baby/Child Development Checks

  • 6 Week Baby Check by appointment (Doctor) (Double booked appointment required)
  • Developmental Checks (children under 5 years old) run by teddyHealth Visitors at the Community Child Health Clinics
  • Child immunisations by appointment with the Nurse  


Post-Natal Checks

Monday – Friday (Anytime) By appointment (Doctor)

Postnatal examinations are essential for new mothers.

(Should you wish to have the Baby Check and the Post-Natal Check done during the same appointment, a 30 minute booked appointment will be required.) 


Childrens Vaccination Schedule

At two months old:

  • Diptheria, tetanus, pertussis (whooping cough), polio and Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib) (DTaP/IPV/Hib) - one injection
  • Pneumococcal infection - pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV) - one injection

At three months old:child immunisation

  • Diptheria, tetanus, pertussis (whooping cough), polio and Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib) (DTaP/IPV/Hib) - one injection
  • Meningitis C (meningococcal group C) (MenC) - one injection

At four months old:

  • Diptheria, tetanus, pertussis (whooping cough), polio and Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib) (DTaP/IPV/Hib) - one injection
  • Meningitis C (meningococcal group C) (MenC) - one injection
  • Pneumococcal infection - pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV) - one injection

At around 12 months old:

  • Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib) and meningitis C (Hib/MenC) - booster dose in one injection

At around 13 months old:

  • Measles, mumps and rubella (German measles) (MMR) - one injection
  • Pneumococcal infection - pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV) - one injection

Three years four months to five years old (pre-school):

  • Diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis (whooping cough) and polio (dTaP/IPV or DTaP/IPV) - one injection
  • Measles, mumps and rubella (German measles) (MMR) - one injection

13 to 18 years old:

  • Diphtheria, tetanus and polio (Td/IPV) - one injection
